Organizations do not usually lack meetings. They lack reliable memory. Important decisions are discussed in steering committees, project meetings, quarterly reviews, and technology leadership sessions.
Then the meeting ends. The decision may remain in someone’s notes. The action may never reach the project plan.
The assumption may not be added to the RAID log. Three months later, the team debates what was actually agreed. AI can identify candidate decisions, actions, owners, due dates, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and items requiring confirmation.
Once reviewed, those outputs can be transferred into the appropriate project records. The human review matters. Meeting discussions contain tentative ideas, disagreement, humor, and context that AI can misunderstand.
I have always viewed standard artifacts as connected components of an operating system. The decision log should inform the project plan. The issue log should inform the status report.
The status report should inform the executive update. The executive decision should flow back into delivery. AI makes those connections easier.
