The Leadership Lens

Accountability

Short reflections on clarity, trust, decisions, and leading people through change.

Accountability works both ways. Leaders should expect their teams to deliver on commitments. But teams should also expect their leaders to provide clear priorities, make decisions, remove obstacles, and own their mistakes.

I’ve never believed accountability means finding someone to blame when something goes wrong. It means understanding what happened, fixing it, learning from it, and getting better. Strong cultures don’t hide problems.

They solve them.
